Richard D. Rahn is a principal with Leonardo Group Americas, a consulting and training firm specializing in Mixed Model Manufacturing, line design, and material flow for high-mix, low-volume operations. Over the past three decades, he has worked with companies in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial equipment, and consumer products to design and launch Mixed Model lines, implement advanced material flow systems, and apply Lean methods in complex environments. His current work focuses on practical ways to bring AI and simple digital twins into the standard toolkit of manufacturing and industrial engineers, including tools for Mixed Model line design, PFEP, video-based work analysis, and A3 problem solving.
