As a seasoned Risk Consultant with Nationwide Insurance, Kevin has 30 + years of experience in the Safety and Environmental field. His diverse background includes work in manufacturing, spanning industries such as Steel Foundry, HVAC Manufacturing, and Automotive Manufacturing. Over the past decade, he has been an integral part of the Nationwide team, contributing his expertise to enhance safety practices and risk management.
Over his career Kevin has had some notable achievements, such as, being recognized for helping a facility achieve zero landfill status and demonstrating commitment to sustainability, which he received the Governor’s Award for. He was instrumental in collaborating with the local Fire Department in establishing a pre-planning program, enhancing emergency response preparedness and in the development of a couple of ergonomic tools that significantly reduced ergonomic risks within the facility. He led successful Safety Kaizen events, resulting in reduced worker exposures and improved safety practices. He published an article on the topics of Legionnaires in the Professional Safety Journal and has presented at NFPA Conference on Infrared Thermography and Electrical Maintenance.
He currently holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Safety and a number of certifications, which include; Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Associate Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Transportation Risk Insurance Professional (TRIP), Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS), Manufacturing Risk Insurance Specialist (MRIS) and a Level II Thermographer.
