Michel Mies is the head of product development of the tesa Site Sparta with 20 years of experience in the development of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for consumer and industrial markets in Europe, USA, and Asia. He has working experience in quality management and worked 5 years in China as head of the Customer Solution Center. In Germany, he and his team have been working on the sustainable transformation and reduction of fossil plastics for packaging, masking, repairing, and industrial mounting tapes as tesa targets to have a 70% share of bio-based and recycled materials by 2030 for products and packaging.

In his current role Michel and his team are developing strapping & transport securing tapes, wire harness tapes, adhesive tape solutions for EV batteries and self-adhesive air and waterproofing systems for commercial and residential buildings.
