Dave Buckles serves as the Training and Education Manager for Tennessee OSHA (TOSHA). In this role, he oversees training and professional development for agency staff and collaborates with organizations across the state to deliver occupational safety and health seminars for employers and workers.

He began his career with TOSHA in April 2007 as a Safety Compliance Officer, conducting inspections in manufacturing and construction settings throughout Middle Tennessee. His field experience provided extensive hands-on knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Prior to his current position, he served as the Occupational Safety Specialist Supervisor for the Nashville area. In that capacity, he led a team of compliance officers and oversaw safety inspections across Middle Tennessee while continuing to conduct inspections himself. This dual role allowed him to maintain direct field experience while providing leadership and guidance to enforcement staff.
